If you fancy something a little different this Easter, why not book a relaxing weekend away at one of our top three European Easter getaways!

France is the perfect place to escape with the family for some Easter festivities, with just a short flight from the UK or the Eurotunnel le shuttle. One of the most popular French cities for an Easter break is the city of Nice in Southern France.

The famous Mardi Gras (Shrove Tuesday) carnival –‘Le Carnaval de Nice’ is the oldest, biggest and most spectacular Easter carnival in the world, with parades, bonfires, fireworks, balloons and much more for the family to enjoy.

Perhaps you would prefer to enjoy the cosmopolitan Riviera vibe that Nice has to offer, and visit its fashionable boutiques, trendy restaurants and enjoy a glass of wine. Nice is also famous for its many café’s where you can enjoy a variety of coffee and crepes which will cost around 10 to 15 Euros.

With just a two and a half hour flight from London, one of our top three destinations for an Easter Break is the capital of Italy – Rome. Throughout the city of Rome at this time of year is a mass of colourful Easter egg displays in every type of chocolate!

Easter is the busiest time of year in Rome and is celebrated as much as Christmas being such a passionately Roman Catholic country. Why not visit one of Rome’s many charming churches and take part in the Easter services they have to offer.

Perhaps you’d like to take advantage of the majority of Rome’s population taking part in Church, and use the time to visit one of the ‘open air’ sights. Easter in Rome would not be complete without a visit to The Roman Colosseum – built nearly two thousand years ago and one of the world’s greatest works of architecture. For as little as EUR 12 per adult you can take a tour of this masterpiece.

Bath – Somerset

If you’d like to stay closer to home, one of the most beautiful cities to visit in the UK is Bath, Somerset. Whether you are looking for something for all of the family, or a quiet city break, Bath has lots to offer.

Bath has attracted visitors for thousands of years due to its fascinating museums, Georgian architecture, boutique shopping, restaurants and many iconic visitor attractions. One of its most popular attractions for the whole family to enjoy is Longleat Safari which includes a giant Easter egg hunt this time of year. Entry into its idyllic stately home and landscaped gardens starts from just £11.25.

Perhaps viewing the beautiful Georgian city of Bath from a more adventurous angle is more up your street. You can treat your family to an exhilarating trip in a hot air balloon to enjoy from GBP 79.00.
