Case Study: How Atlantic Marine Handle Batch Payments with FTT

“Having crew work all over the world on wind farms, offshore ships, super yachts and aircraft means paying out in local currencies where jobs are based or to their bank account back home.

Prior to using FTT’s BatchPay Service we used to set up individual payments through HSBC business banking online. However, this was such a time-consuming, manual process and more prone to human error. Along with this, our Director had to second-approve each payment. We can now book in advance and don’t need the second tier sign off.

We get better rates with FTT compared with the bank and our crew receive their payments on time, every time. 

The transition to BatchPay was really easy to set up. There were no issues and the process was seamless, for what seemed like quite a big task for us. I really wouldn’t change anything about the service and we have had fantastic support from the FTT team, who always schedule our multiple payments on time. We run to really tight deadlines and BatchPay makes our lives so much easier – I can’t praise FTT enough for the fantastic and flexible customer service they provide!

The biggest benefit of using the service has to be reduced admin time – we’re saving over half a day a month! The long-term impact is huge and means my time (over 6 days per year) can be spent focused on growing the business.

I would encourage anyone still using their bank to move to BatchPay. You will soon realise how much administration time you get back!
